Special Bond between Animals and Humans

Photographer Sage Sohier documented various refuges for exotic animals, wildlife rescues, dog and cat rescues, and farm animal sanctuaries. Her focus was on capturing the connection between humans and animals: "Many of the individuals featured in my photographs have devoted the majority of their lives to rescuing animals. The animals themselves exhibit remarkable traits such as sweetness, resilience, a love for life, and their ability to forgive humans - to coexist with them and even thrive in their presence, which may be their only source of salvation," said Sohier.

Sohier has published six books featuring her photographs, and her work can be found in significant collections like the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Sy Montgomery is a renowned author known for her highly acclaimed books, including "The Soul of an Octopus."
